The Fife support group of SOBS meets once a month in Kirkcaldy. Contact Donna after 6pm on 07707 697739 or email kirkcaldysobs@gmail.com for details.

Cruse Bereavement Care Scotland provides support for the whole family through bereavement. Cruse has an office in Methil and sessions can be arranged in venues throughout Fife.
National helpline: 0845 600 2227 – calls cost 5p per minute plus your phone company’s access charge.

Families in Trauma is building up a library of online interviews who have been through some form of trauma. One of these interviews features Jackie Easton, founder of Curly Star Dream Foundation, who talks about dealing with the death of her daughter.

The Scottish Association for Mental Health (SAMH) have published a useful booklet ‘After a Suicide’ which provides information that aims to support and guide at this difficult time. It covers practical issues like dealing with the Police, the Procurator Fiscal, registering the death, etc.; the grieving process; and useful contacts and resources.
