Fife Health and Wellbeing Alliance is working with Fife Employability and Training Consortium (Fife ETC) through its health inequalities partner programme. The programme aims to enable Fife ETC members to increase their effectiveness in reducing health inequalities.

Fife ETC is a partnership of eight third sector organisations offering employability services in Fife to clients in a wide range of circumstances. Through the partner programme we are:

  • providing training to frontline staff in effective approaches to reducing health inequalities;
  • mapping the range of health and wellbeing indicators used by consortium members, and working on a suite of common indicators, so that effective interventions can be more easily identified and replicated;
  • supporting a peer research project, in which people experiencing long-term unemployment are exploring what works well (and not so well) in services for people in unemployment ‘hotspots’ of Fife, with the aim of reshaping provision for long-term unemployed people.
